Why choose a pull cord mirror instead of a sensor switch version

A pull cord is far more reliable on a mirror than a sensor switch. It is far less likely to experience problems and far easier to replace in such an instance. A sensor switch works by waving your hand in front of the sensor to activate the mirror and then wave again to turn the mirror off. However sensor switches can be very sensitive and can be 'falsely triggered' by doing activities such as cleaning your teeth in front of them. This can result in the mirror constantly turning itself on and off which is very frustrating. Pull cord mirrors do not suffer from this occurence.
